You've been invited, now what?
Manage all your tasks in one place.
Welcome to Onboard. You've been invited to work on a project within our customer portal. It's a place where you can manage all of the tasks assigned to you and view all progress of any project that you are a part of. (Note that if you have been invited to work on multiple projects they will display on the far left menu, nested underneath 'Projects').
Within the customer portal you'll have 4 different views which you can toggle through at the top. [My Tasks, Project Dashboard, All Tasks, Gantt Chart]

The 'Project Dashboard' will provide you with high level information on your project, including your project snapshot stats, notes, key contacts, resources (links and assets), along with completed tasks, open tasks, people working on the project and any other attachments. This serves as a good summary overview of all project information and current status.
To focus on the tasks assigned to you, click over to the 'My Tasks' view. From here you can:
- Expand tasks: to see a task's full detail, you'll need to click on that task. All underlying task information will populate on the right hand side of the screen. This may include forms to fill out, instructions on how to complete the task, along with any links/documents/assets/ resources that you may need to complete your task.
- Complete a task: to complete a task, click 'Mark Complete' to mark that task complete. Conversely you can click 'Mark Incomplete' to mark the task as yet to be completed.
- Click 'Discussions' to add comments, pose questions or start any discussions that are pertinent to that specific task.
Note: All individuals associated with the project will receive a notification of your comment. - Invite a team member: to invite a team member, just click the "Invite" button at the top of the page and enter their email address.
Note: to assign someone, they will need to be invited. Follow the steps under "Invite a team member" above to invite them.
Within the 'All Tasks' view you can see all tasks that are associated with your project, not just the tasks that are assigned to you. Here you can see each task name, task content, due date, and who it is assigned to. As a member of the project team, you can edit and access all task content including task start/end dates, completion status, forms, resources and discussions (even if not assigned to you).
Lastly, the 'Gantt Chart' view also provides a comprehensive overview of the project, displaying important milestones and deadlines. This allows you to track the progress of each task and ensure that they are completed within each section and before the target launch date.
How does the Gantt chart generate the initial dates?
When a Project is generated, the Gantt will generate default start and end dates for all the tasks.
- Sections will have a start date of the earliest date in the section, and and end date of the last due date in the section
- If a task has a specified due date, the end date in the Gantt chart will correspond to that.
- If a task has an estimated time set, the Gantt chart will display the task's start date as a number of days before the due date.
- For tasks that have a duration of multiple days, the Gantt chart considers only weekdays when calculating the date range. For example, if a task is due on Monday and it takes 3 days to complete, the Gantt chart will show the task spanning from the previous Thursday to Monday.
- The default duration of a task is set to one day, unless otherwise specified.
