How can customers upload files?

Customers can upload files within Onboard in 2 specific ways.

The fist way in which a customer can upload a file is by creating a custom field that captures this file.  When setting up a custom field simply create a field name, and select 'attachment' from the Field Type dropdown selections.  It is also required that you select the 'Object' option, which is typically Project.   The next step is to then create a custom form and then select the custom field that you just created.  Don't forget to establish your custom form settings at the bottom of the modal.  You can control whether you allow multiple form submissions (multiple files can be uploaded), whether uploading this file is required to complete the form and mark the task complete, and whether that task is automatically marked as complete with the file is uploaded / form is submitted.

The next way in which files can be uploaded by customers within Onboard.io is via the chat/discussions feature.  Any user who has access to the project / task can click into discussions and then click the 'Attachments' logo (which is an upward facing arrow in a cloud) to select a file to upload.  This file will be accessible to all those who have access to that project/task, within the discussions feature.

Note that there is currently a 25 MB file size limit.  If a customer's file is not uploading successfully it is likely due to the file being larger than the file size limitation.  If a customer is attempting to upload multiple files at the same time, the work around would be to upload one file at a time.
