Can I customize the welcome email that my customers receive when being invited to join a project in Onboard.io?

Onboard.io allows you to customize many of the system generated emails, directly within the Settings > Emails page.  This is a great way to add your company's branding and personal messaging to these notifications that your team and customers receive upon certain actions that happen within the platform.

While we allow many of the system generated emails to be customized directly within the application, the password-less 'magic link' invite to the customer portal that is initiated when you invite a customer to a project is not one that you can modify yourself directly within the application. Because sign-in emails are managed through our authentication provider (Auth0), certain structural and compliance elements must remain in place (such as security messaging and required legal content). Additionally, the system uses different variations of the email depending on the scenario (e.g., login link vs. one-time code, first-time access, etc.).

That said, Onboard.io support can absolutely tailor key parts of the messaging to better match your brand and tone.

Onboard.io support can make changes to the following areas of the welcome email.   

• A preferred headline or greeting

• The main message body (e.g., instructions, tone, branding language)

• Any support or help text (optional)

• Preferred sign-off / sender name

If you have different messaging you'd like for:

• First-time users vs. returning users

• Magic link vs. one-time code
